Thanksgiving Cards

I was busy today making these Thanksgiving cards for a swap on The Crafty Table message board.

This first one is made from a page sketch by pagemaps.com. I'm entering it into their contest as well.

This second one is from a sketch on the Taylored Expressions Blog. It's also for a challenge that Stacey posted for the online crop over at All Moments Remembered.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Finally Fall Colors!

Fall has finally come to our home!

Along with the fall colors, came a strange man in a purple duct tape jacket.

This is really Todd's cousin, Stevie. He came over to work on some Physics homework with Todd and also to play Rock Band.
His girlfriend, Jessica is in the background.

If you have enjoyed these photos and want to see more, just go here and enjoy!

Boo! A Halloween Card

BOO! Here is a Halloween card that I made:

I made it for a Halloween Card Swap on The Crafty Table message board.

The Inspiration for it came from a sketch featured on the Limelight Papercrafts Blog.

My Cosmos Flowers

I planed a Cosmos plant from seeds earlier in the summer. I thought it was too late to plant the free packet of Cosmos seeds I received in the mail, but I tried anyway. Well, here it is, October, and they bloomed!

I posted some more pictures HERE.

Marty's First Pumpkin Show

Yesterday, we brought Marty the dog to the Circleville Pumpkin Show. He had a great time and was a very good boy. I have more photos posed HERE.

Happy Halloween!

I made these cards for a card swap on The Crafty Table message board.
The inspiration came from this week's sketch on the Taylored Expressions blog.
The color combination came from a challenge that Crop-a-Holic posted at All Moments Remembered during this month's crop.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards.
Happy Halloween!

Layouts from the AMR Online Crop

Saturday,  April 5, 2008, I participated in an online Crop at All Moments Remembered.  It was a lot of fun and it inspired me to create the following layouts.

This first challenge was to create a layout using embellishments around the photo:

This first layout is of my cousin Jilly. The photo was taken on Thanksgiving 2004. She looked so cute in her cowgirl hat, I just couldn't resist. I've also had the paper hanging around for quite some time, just waiting for this photo to be glued to it.

This second challenge was to use Bling and a Spring Theme:

For this layout, I used iris photos that were taken the spring after we moved here. I had no idea that these irises were underground waiting to bloom. Boy was I happy! I have a brown thumb and can't get anything to grow. These came up like magic. Flower photography is my favorite.

This third challenge was to use a clear transparency:

I had this photo of my Daddy and me when I was a little girl. It was taken in the spring of 1969, I think. The transparency came in a mystery pack I purchased from Rocky Mountain Hobbies. I thought the two went together quite well.

I hope you enjoy my layouts and thank you for looking.

Bosco is My Sunshine

I made this layout for a Survivor Challenge on the All Moments Remembered message board.I was voted off right away.

Bosco is my mixed breed doggie.  She is eleven years old and is still my baby girl.  Nearly every day, I sing the song, "You are My Sunshine" to her.  I mean every word of it.

The paper is from DCWV Summer Stack and Junkitz Whimsical Halloween collection.
The large flower is one I received from my friend Cindy in a Swap on The Crafty Table.
The small brown flower is from Making Memories
The sticker letters for the title on the right are from a kit.

Thinking of Spring

During the blizzard I kept thinking of Spring. While I was snowed in, I made a couple of spring cards. The papers and embellishments are from DCWV Spring Stack

I sure hope Spring gets here fast!

We're having a Blizzard

Yes, you read that right. Here in Central Ohio we had a blizzard pass through over the last 24 hours. Brrr. We had over a foot of snow fall down on us since yesterday afternoon. It's a good thing our dogs are black otherwise they'd get lost in the snow.

Here is a direct link to the photos: Blizzard Photos

It has been a while

It has been a while since I've posted here at my blog. I recently joined the gym at OSU after much kicking and screaming of resistance. I'm starting slow in the swimming pool. Swimming seems to make exercise seem like fun. Don't let it fool you, it's really hard work.

I went to my first Stamping Up party last weekend. It was great fun and I am hooked. I can't wait until someone has another one as there is more stuff I want to order.

My crafty message board, The Crafty Table, is really doing well. We have several contests, challenges and swaps happening. It's a lot of fun and I'd love for you to come check it out. http://www.craftyria.com/board. The site is a private site, so you must sign-up to see all the good stuff.

Thanks for reading!
